What is valuable?

As most of you know, my husband and I live in a truck. Granted, it is a really 'homey' truck and we are very self sufficient. We have a fill size bed, satellite tv, sink with hot and cold water, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and convection oven, toilet and enough small appliances to cook anything you can imagine.
But it was a very hard decision when packing up our truck home as to what to bring and what to leave behind.
You quickly learn that you don't need most of what you think you might.

In the world people strive and become slaves to what the world counts as valuable. People fight and kill each other over valuables.

What do you count as value? What could you do without?

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, (Philippians 3:8 NASB)
