We choose friends. We choose our friends because we have things in common or because they are like us or like someone we know. We spend time with them. We get to know them. Often we come to love our friends.
Pas with any relationship, you must nurture and take care with a good friendship.
However, sometimes, these relationships will crumble. There are many reasons why this happens. But it always hurts when any relationship is lost.
I think sometimes we do not choose our friends wisely sometimes. I have done this in the past. Also trying to be friends with too many people can cause problems too.
A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24 NASB)
But Jesus is a friend that will never let us down. He will never betray us. And we will always be able to trust Him.
No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15 NASB)
