Help

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? (Psalms 121:1 NASB)

I remember memorizing this verse at a summer youth camp .
We also learned verse 2.
My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalms 121:2 NASB)
As we repeated this verse during the evening worship service, everytime we said the word, "help" we clapped our hands.
Doing this little exercise reinforced the verses in our minds. I still want to clap my hands at the word when I read or cite these verses .
Memorizing scripture is a valuable tool. Knowing God's word will give us the wisdom that we need to grow and be strong as we encounter daily trials.
Use whatever means possible to memorize His word.
I promise when life gets difficult and you bring to mind a scripture, it will help (clap) you get through the hard times.
