My Refuge

Somedays it seems like everything goes wrong, or at least, doesn't go right. 

Maybe you wake up and notice the toilet is leaking, you get dressed and see that the mustard stain is still on your favorite shirt, when you make coffee you forget to add the coffee, the dog goes out and won't come in making you late and then your car won't start.

What a start! Sadly, I've had days similar to these...more than once. 

I'll wager you have too.

How do you react to such times?

After a little bit of time goes by, I usually take a moment to wonder if God is trying to slow me down. Perhaps I forgot to talk to Him on this morning and He wants to hear my voice.

Thank you, Lord for being my refuge and my rock of strength.

 God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.  For who is God, but the Lord ? And who is a rock, except our God?— (Psalms 18:30&31 ESV)
